Processor - Up to two Quad-core and Six-core, Intel[tm] Xeon 5600 series processors with QuickPath Interconnect (QPI), Turbo Boost and Hyper-Threading (HT) technology.
Main Memory -
* Total DIMM slots: 18.
* DIMM type: DDR3 1066MHz or 1333MHz Registered DIMMs
* DIMM sizes: 4 GB and 8 GB 1066MHz. 4GB 1333MHz.
* Maximum capacity: 144 GB (when configured with 8-GB DIMMs).
Ethernet - Two 10/100/1000Base-T Gigabit Ethernet ports provided by the network express modules (NEMs) installed in the chassis.
The lower NEM port is NET 0 and the upper NEM port is NET 1
Universal Connector Port (UCP) - The Dongle Cable assembly connects to the UCP and provides the following:
* Connection to ILOM SP.
* 2 USB 2.0 ports.
* VGA video connection to an on-board AST2100 graphics chip.
Disks -
* Up to four optional, hot swappable, hot pluggable, SAS drives per blade.
* Mixing disk types (i.e. one SAS disk and one SATA disk) on same X6270 Server Module is not supported.
* One on-board 16 GB Compact Flash option.

Sun Blade Server Module Service Processor (SP) - * The SP is not a separate card. It is embedded on the motherboard.
* The SP is installed with Integrated Lights-Out Manager (ILOM 3.0).
* The SP provides one 10/100 Management Ethernet Port to Midplane and the Chassis Monitoring Module (CMM).
* ILOM on the SP card can be accessed via the Dongle cable assembly.
o The three-cable (X4622A) dongle cable option can be used to connect to ILOM using the Universal Connector Port (UCP) on the front of the Sun Blade X6270 M2.
o Use the RJ-45 serial connector on the 3-cable dongle to connect to ILOM via the UCP.
* The SP card and LOM provide the following:
o Remote management with full Keyboard, Mouse, Video, Storage (KVMS) redirection.
o Remove media capability (floppy, DVD, CD etc.).
o DMTF style CLI.
o Browser-based UI for control of the system through a graphical interface.
o IPMI 2.0 compliance for management and control.
o SNMP V1, V2c, V3 for system monitoring.
o Monitor and report system and component status on all FRUs.
